Tell us a little about yourself

I am a 33 years old Spanish guy living in London and loving it for the last 7 years. I am an IT Consultant working in Finances. Curious about almost everything. Passionate about technology and people.

What do you use your bike for?

I use my bike for everything. I use it every day to go to the office or to clients’ site. To go to the gym. To go to the supermarket. To go central to meet friends.

What do you love about cycling?

It saves time and money. It helps me to keep me healthy without even noticing. And it gives me lot of freedom when planning my journeys as I don’t depend on public transport.

Where did you store your bicycle before you had a Bikehangar?

I used to chain it to the railing at my flat entrance. Or sometimes I used to take it upstairs to my flat. Which is painful as I live in the 3rd floor, there is no lift and not much room in the flat to keep it there.

Tell us why you love your Bikehangar?

It is very convenient. No more climbing the stairs carrying my bike. And it gives me the peace of knowing that my bike is protected from the rain and safe from easily being stolen.

What is your top tip for getting one on your street?

Use the Cyclehoop website to suggest a new location. Talk to your neighbours about it. You will be surprised of how many people use bikes in your street or in your flat, and would be very interested. Contact your council. Making it easier to use bikes and promoting them is a great thing for a busy city like London.
